Typical lodging ranges from economical to moderate with regards to pricing. True ski-in/ski-out does not exist but a couple properties do exist within 100 yards of ski access or the gondola. Options are to stay in South Lake Tahoe next to shops, restaurants, and gondola or on the Nevada side which is more remote but higher quality property.

South Lake Tahoe Group Airfare

Parties of ten or more enjoy the benefit of group airfare. The main option would be into Reno, Nevada (RNO), about 1.5 hours from South Lake Tahoe. Sacramento California (SMF) is a second option, just over 2 hours from South Lake Tahoe.

South Lake Tahoe Group Ground Transportation

Charter Buses can be set up from Reno or Sacramento Airports.

Some of the properties in South Lake Tahoe supply on-call shuttle service to/from the gondola and casino's. Otherwise the city has a paid as you go shuttle services system.

For shuttle service to neighboring ski resorts it's recommended to charter a bus or utilize the Aqua Shuttle, a boat cruise that accesses Northstar Ski Resort on Lake Tahoe's North Shore.

South Lake Tahoe Group Activities

Lake cruises are available from the South Shore Area.

Heavenly has tubing and sight seeing of the lake at the top of the gondola for a fee.

South Lake Tahoe and neighboring Stateline, Nevada are known for their nightlife; possibly more so than any other resort. Casino's are open 24 hours a day and bars and clubs typically stay open until 4am.
