I don’t usually leave reviews after my good/bad experiences, but I couldn’t let this one pass. We booked Aspen Meadows for three nights for mid February 2022. This location is NOT an actual resort! The website and advertisements are total scam. This location is a DORMITORY for the Aspen Institute (research camp) which closed its doors during the pandemic. We booked their “2 bedroom suite” which is NOT a resort room at all - It was a dorm apartment donated by some professor a few years ago. The owners somehow managed to get Wyndham Hotel to “manage” the property in order to make up for the lost revenue. They added a few paintings, front desk balconies to staged a hotel entrance - also built a bar/restaurant out of their conference hall. Most employees are not from the hospitality world… What you see on the website is all made up with random images. Want a cheap looking college dorm ambiance to your next luxurious Aspen vacation? You found the right place!

Best view in town. Green goddess salad awesome

By far the fanciest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. All hotel employees were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived too early to check in but we were allowed to store our bags by the front desk. Has a restaurant called Plato’s (very expensive so did not eat there). Stayed in an ADA room, huge! Has a bedroom are with 1 queen bed, kitchen area with microwave, fridge, and sink (2 plates with silverware and cups, even wine glasses if you’re a wine drinker, 2 glass bottles of free water to drink (do not take the bottles home unless you want to pay $10 per bottle, the bottles are replaced daily and are reused and filled with local spring water, the caps say sparkling water but it is not, still nice tasting water), living room area with 2 chairs and a love seat, TV’s in living room and bedroom, roll in shower, shower chair provided, sliding door to separate bedroom from the other rooms. When you turn on the TV it will greet you. Only found out about complementary breakfast on the last day but it was really good, they have typical breakfast food (pancakes, eggs, sausage) there is also a cook who will make you eggs anyway you want with a small variety of vegetables. The pepper shaker, at least on the table I sat at had a huge whole a dumped a bunch of pepper on my eggs, so be careful. I definitely won’t stay here again because I stayed for free and don’t have enough money but if you’re rich and like spending money I totally recommend this place. Also if you use a wheelchair Aspen is not very accessible and the hotel shuttle as well as most of the bus drivers acted as if they have never seen a wheelchair user riding a bus before, only 1 of the city bus driver’s knew how to secure a wheelchair, most didn’t even offer to secure my chair and since the securements were different from where O live I didn’t know how to tell who I was with so some of the drivers at least attempted most didn’t even try to secure my chair in so I would slide around and felt very unsafe. The driver who did properly secure me told me when I mentioned that most of the drivers said they didn’t know how, he said that’s not right, even bus driver is trained on wheelchair securement and can not not know how.

You must try PLATO restaurant while in Aspen, the view is incredible !

Great place to attend seminars, as well as reflect and refresh.
