Room was very nice and the location is nice. The beds where pretty comfortable. Good location in Mountain village however for skiing they are not ski in/ski out.

Second time here for us. Close proximity to trails. Comfortable rooms. HOWEVER, insufficient parking is a serious strike against this property. Normally when you book a hotel/condo it’s unheard of not to have a dedicated space for each unit. This is not the case here, almost as if they expect you will not arrive in your own car. Be advised they charge $25/day for parking. Narrow driveways tight turns, large SUV drivers with bike racks , many of whom just don’t have parallel parking skills (take up twice the space they need to, which equals one less space for a lm average size (Toyota Camry).

Awesome place with great amenities and staff! Pool, 3 hot tubs, steam room, sauna, work out room, fire pit, grill area, kids room, conference room, shuttle and masseuse on staff. Also has direct access to trails in the summer. The funicular makes this property ski in ski out.

Gorgeous hotel in walking distance to the gobdola, market, disc golf course, trails, and more.

I stayed up at Bear Creek with my husband for a whole week for our anniversary. The units are all personally owned but they are rented out and maintained by the Bear Creek Lodge staff. It also appears that Bear Creek is owned by Alpine Lodging - a parent company. I had booked a lock off room (basically an attached bedroom to a larger unit that looks like a hotel room) a few months back. Unfortunately a few days before our trip I suddenly see in my documents a completely different room I never chose. Since the units are personally owned they are all updated or decorated differently. I was fairly bummed out because the new room didn’t have any of the amenities we were excited for. We called the lodge and Sarah (the AM) was amazing and basically helped us get an even better room which was fully updated. She personally texted me photos and kept in contact with me throughout our trip. It was very personable and made us feel secure in our decision and relaxed during our trip. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the reason to stay here is the staff and they are not wrong. The staff made our visit a 5 star stay. Every single person from the assistant manager to the cleaning staff were kind and engaging. They were able to help recommend the best places to eat and drink and we honestly had a blast. I have to give special shoutouts to Sarah, Amanda, and Tony who were very personable and honestly helped us out a lot. We stayed in room 303B - which had been recently remodeled and as someone who is fairly OCD I loved how clean the lines were, the tasteful decorations, the brand new TV, and my favorite part was the soaker tub. The lodge is in a very quiet spot in Mountain Village, but there was a short trail down to the market and gondola and always someone on staff to take you down in a shuttle if you didn’t want to walk. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet a lot - it was one of the best parts of the trip and there were other lodges which looked very busy and noisy so we were glad we were at Bear Creek. The only cons I could see were maybe needing to let the pool stay open a little later - especially during the summer - 10pm or 11pm - it currently closes at 9pm. Also because of covid we didn’t have someone cleaning our room which bummed me out a bit, but it did also make me feel safer during these stressful covid times. All in all, this will be our go to spot when we come back to Telluride. I’ve stayed quite a bit in Telluride and Mountain Village over the years and this has been the best experience I’ve ever had. Never lose your amazing staff - it’s truly what made everything such a great experience!
