I have some really mixed feelings about staying here. First - if you don't like being woken up by trail grooming and snowcats at 3am, don't book a slope side room. Positives: location and access to the gondola, lifts, and the Village...and the decor has been updated to feel modern and sleek. There's snacks, beer, and wine at the front desk, which is really convenient. Ptom's is a totally reasonably priced restaurant and quick, which is nice. They also have a TV screen, so we caught part of a football game while grabbing a quick bite. Downsides: the room wasn't particularly clean, the shower curtain definitely needed washing, and the fridge door was broken, so it would pop off each time we tried to open it. We arrived for a late check-in (10:30pm) and had called 4hrs before getting to Steamboat to let them know. The woman on the phone was really friendly about it, but the gentleman working the desk when we arrived was not. He turned out the lobby lights while we were still gathering our things to go to the room, and when thanked for staying up at the desk for our late check-in, he told us that as the night desk shift, he didn't have a choice. Definitely didn't set the tone for a great first impression. I'm 50/50 on if I'd stay here again, especially for $400/n per room cost.

Great stay! So close to slopes, fun decor, very useful amenities. Good price for what you get. Will absolutely stay again!

Clean. Nice decor. Nice rooms. We were even offered a beer on arrival which we were under the impression was "complimentary." .... Would have given 5 stars! However....When I checked out, I asked to see my bill and was told it would be emailed to me. I wanted to check the charges but the girl at the counter said "my computer is slow" and wouldn't give me my final payment. Come to find out we were charged for the 4 oz shot of beer we were offered. Don't think about trying to contact this place because the phone will just ring endlessly. Tried contacting them prior to our stay to ask a question and tried contacting them after to ask why I was charged for my beer that "comes with the room."- this issue was eventually resolved. Hope to avoid in the future.

Odd to have so many negative reviews here for this hotel as it really was pretty great. We arrived a bit early but the staff and the GM both went out of their way to get our room ready for us. They offered a free check in beer or root beer (small but still nice touch) and had a plethora of other snacks/drinks at the check in desk. Room was perfectly fine for my wife and I and found it to be very clean and in good shape. My only complaints would be the pillows being a bit too stiff for our liking and the AC making some odd noises in the middle of the night. All in all, great location, fair prices and we'll definitely be back this winter for ski season.

I’d give this place no stars if I could. Never in my life has my service dog been discriminated against until I met the general manager. She was rude, condescending and frankly shouldn’t be working in hospitality at all. The only reason why we chose to stay here was because it’s close to the gondola, and it is advertised as pet friendly which it’s not. During check in the girl at the front desk was nice, but then the GM walked out when she threw pet fees in front of us and amenity fees which were never mentioned during the booking process. The GM walked out, didn’t greet us, said a bunch of condescending comments about reading the fine print which no one really does, and then told us our service animals weren’t allowed unattended in the room which is discrimination. She went on to tell my partner later that our service dogs weren’t allowed at the bar either, which I settled quickly after she tried lying to me about “the rules” for service animals. She quickly said it was ok when she realized I know my rights and don’t put up with discrimination especially when i’m a paying guest and my dog is required by federal law to accompany me everywhere for my safety. Good luck to your terrible establishment, you’ll be hearing from my lawyer. And you can thank your GM for being such a terrible human.
