The Village at Breckenridge (including Antero, Shavano, and Wetterhorn) is located at the base of Peak 9 and is one of the most desirable locations in Breckenridge. Offering Hotel Rooms, Studios, as well as One -Four bedroom condos, this area is truly Ski-In/Ski-Out and adjacent to the Quicksilver Super 6 Chair Lift. The historic Maggie Pond, also adjacent to The Village at Breckenridge, offers winter ice-skating, summer paddle boating, and all year round holiday festivities. In addition to its ideal slope side location these condos are also only a few steps to Breckenridge's Historic Main Street. Each condo at The Village at Breckenridge has a full kitchen, dining area, sleeper sofa, balcony, and fireplace. Other amenities include laundry facilities, ski lockers, fitness room, spa services, underground heated parking, restaurants and pubs, as well as indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs to round out your Breckenridge mountain vacation.

In 2010 the Village at Breckenridge had a complete exterior face lift costing $18 million which included all new pedestrian walkways, siding, windows, etc. Along with the change in the exterior came name changes of the different units at the Village. Plaza 1, 2 and 3 are now called the Antero, Shavano and Wetterhorn buildings, respectively. The Liftside is now called Peak 9 Inn, and The Chateaux Condos remain the same. For the purpose of pricing, the Peak 9 Inn and Chateaux have their own web page. The three remaining properties (Antero, Shavano and Wetterhorn) are priced and booked as the Village at Breckenridge.

My wife and I had a good stay at this hotel. The room that we originally booked was a bit dirty (there was a good amount of dust around the fan on the ceiling), but management was quick to remedy the situation by putting us in an upgraded room. One thing to note about this hotel is that it does not have air conditioning, but does have heat. I didn't realize this when I booked, but again, management was accommodating. They gave us a portable AC unit to use in the room, as well as a couple of fans. It was my wife's birthday during our stay, so they also sent up a bottle of wine. We thought this was a great gesture, and they were also accommodating in receiving and letting me know that the flowers I got for her had arrived. Lastly, Ricky at the front desk helped us out by letting us know exactly where to go to see some great foliage. While this hotel doesn't have all of the amenities of most modern hotels, it gives you the mountain feel and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was fine but nothing special. Biggest issue was they still charged the $20/night “amenity fee” despite all the amenities being closed.

I was very disappointed with my stay there. Although it resides in a picturesque setting and has full access to town, the room was less than satisfying. The bed frame was lopsided and I reported it to the front desk, it was never addressed. I had to get my daughter's boyfriend to remove the mattress and box spring and realign the wood supports. Also, there was a screen offset in the window, that need to be repaired, I reported that - no one ever came to look at. I also could not open one of the windows, the handle's rods were unattached. So once I opened it a little, I had no way to close it. Furthermore, they charged me for a "resort fee" when both the pool, spa, and other recreational facilities were closed onsite, going through reconstruction. They did offer passes to nearby hotels, which I didn't avail myself of - which were not so convenient - so why was I paying these additional fees? The facility seemed to be understaffed which I know is an issue right now with Covid-19, so it is more of a systemic problem. But the total lack of follow-up here amazed me. I have traveled the world, and even if they could not deliver, hotels followed up on my requests. The last draw was when I requesting additional bathroom towels. I first had asked for a room cleaning after a few days. I was told they did not do "mid-week" climbing, which I could also understand with staff shortages and Covid protocols. But they said they would deliver extra bathroom towels. It never happened. I have since wrote a letter to their corporate office. To date, no response. I would not recommend staying here given the total disregard for any of my requests. Stay away!

The room is a bit dated. The beds were not very comfy, the sofa bed was terrible. The shower was really good. The room is pretty big with a small kitchen. Good toiletries - organic with essential oils. The service at front desk was average. Only later did I realize that a free bottle of wine was included but the staff did not bother to offer it to us. No breakfast included.

The best location in Breck. Rent a condo through Great Western Lodging, you will be very glad you did. Ski in ski out, walk to town, covered heated parking. The fitness center, pool, and hot tub are undergoing a total renovation and will be closed for the summer. Will be fabulous facility for guests for winter season 2021/22.
