Trip Highlights

Big Sky is on nearly everyone’s Top 3 list of their favorite places to ski. Ken and I have skied there multiple times, and we keep coming back! As your trip leaders, we are planning several fun get-togethers for our group.  We have both skied all over western North America and are ready to put our years of experience to work for you!   Leave the details to us and enjoy your vacation.  Just pay and play!

The Mountain

Big Sky is in the southwestern corner of Montana, near Yellowstone National Park.   We will fly into Bozeman, about an hour's drive away, and take a charter bus to the resort.
While Big Sky is still known for easy access, rare lift lines, and no crowds, the changes over the years are striking. Let’s begin with 300 degrees of skiing off of Lone Peak, surrounded by three other mountains, spanning 5,850 acres of terrain to explore. If you're just starting out on the snow, 2,300 of those acres are beginner and intermediate terrain that's perfect for learning and improving your technique. For the experts, Big Sky provides lift-served access to some of the most aggressive in-bounds terrain in the world. In other words, Big Sky has it all, runs that vary from satin-groomed cruisers to steep powdered chutes.  There are also state-of-the-art terrain parks, plus the Lone Peak Tram that whisks skiers and non-skiers alike to the summit for extraordinary panoramic views of the wide-open spaces of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
Speaking of lifts, you will navigate the mountain via the most technologically advanced lift network in North America—from the Ramcharger 8's heated seats and weatherproof bubbles to the Swift Current 6's unprecedented speed as the fastest chairlift in North America. With four bubble chairlifts in total, warm-up breaks and cross-mountain traverses don't have to interrupt your day. Plus, the new, long-awaited Lone Peak Tram will be ready for the 2023/24 season!

Lodging

We will be staying at the historic and iconic Huntley Lodge, located slope-side in the heart of Big Sky Mountain Village, just 50 yards from the lifts. The Huntley offers first class hotel rooms with a wet bar, mini refrigerator and coffee maker, balconies, and scenic views. There are three dining opportunities on property: Chet's, Mocha, and the Huntley Dining Room, plus many, many more in the Village. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, complimentary ski valet & storage, outdoor hot tubs, a heated swimming pool, sauna, fitness center, game room, and laundry facilities. Travelers on our trip will also be treated to the daily legendary hot breakfast buffet (included free of charge). Dining and shopping are right out the doors in the heart of the Mountain Village.
The Huntley Lodge is the original Big Sky lodge, with an enduringly warm aesthetic and a fresh- faced Montana vibe. Recently reimagined through an entirely contemporary lens, authenticity combines with old ski culture, beside newfound fun-loving details.
