TRIP overview
Don’t let this wonderful opportunity pass you by! Your club thinks it’s time to try someplace “new” that really isn’t “new”. If you like ski in/ski out, a short bus ride to the mountain, tons of acres to ski/board, 400 inches of snow annually, great lodging, and fun trip leaders, this is the trip for you! To rest after trying to conquer all 6,000 acres of terrain, we are staying at the luxurious Everline Resort and Spa. This property basically has it’s own ski lift right out our front door away from the hustle and bustle of the main village area. Ski/board down some of the runs the 1960 Olympians rode to gold. This is now the largest ski resort in the state of California. More good news, base elevation is 6,000 feet so you will get a good night’s rest. Peak elevation is a comfortable 9,000 feet. The secret is out, Palisades Tahoe is now a place skiers and boarders flock to. You can trust Terry’s 18 years of trip leading to guide you to a week of fun on and off the mountain. Palisades Tahoe is on the IKON pass and the skiing/boarding is unlimited. This means you can ride as many days annually that you would like whether you have the full pass or the base pass.
Lodging
Our home for the week is at the Everline Resort and Spa. This is a beautiful property with wonderful rooms and tons of amenities. The Everline is everything you would want in your home away from home. The best part is having a ski lift right out your front door. There is an ice rink on property, a huge pool and hot tub area, a spa with a variety of treatments, 4 restaurants, and a whole lot more. We will get discounted rental gear at the Everline, which makes life very easy. I’m really excited about staying at this property. If spa days are your thing, they have multiple treatments for you to enjoy. Go ahead, pamper yourself! Hotel Link
The Mountain(s)
Palisades Tahoe is the combination of the old Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resort. Palisades Tahoe is in California’s Sierra Nevada offering 6,000 acres of skiable terrain across two interconnected mountains. With an average annual snowfall of 402 inches and extensive snowmaking capabilities, the resort maintains excellent conditions throughout a long season. In 2026, Palisades Tahoe will be open late into May. On average, March is their 2nd highest snowfall month. They also have 300 days of sun every year as well. The mountain features over 275 marked trails served by 39 lifts, including gondolas, trams, and high-speed chairs. Trail difficulty is well balanced, with terrain for beginners, intermediates, and experts alike. In the last 6 years, Palisades has really expanded their facilities. The Village at Palisades Tahoe offers dining, shopping, and après-ski options within walking distance of the lifts, making it easy for families and groups to stay connected throughout the day. The Base to Base Gondola links both mountains, allowing seamless access to varied terrain without removing your gear. There is an ice-skating rink at our lodging, tubing at the resort, and lots of other non-skier adventures to indulge yourself in. Palisades Resort
