Telluride Resort at a Glance

Telluride, being less commercialized than most resorts, is unpretentious, friendly, and full of surprises. Combining elegant European style with rustic charm, it retains the vestiges of its mining town roots while exuding a modest sophistication. The unsurpassable beauty, spectacular views, and fabulous skiing lent by the solemnly rising backdrop of the mountain make Telluride a unique ski resort and an unforgettable place to visit.

Telluride Mountain

Telluride Colorado is nestled in a box canyon at 8,750 feet surrounded by 14,000- foot peaks of the Southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains.  The resort is located 65 miles south of Montrose airport with 1,700 skiable acres and spectacular views.  It receives an average of 309 annual inches of light, dry snow, which blankets 127 trails, bowls, and some of the steepest terrain in North America. And the best part is, this can be enjoyed without the typical crowded ski slopes and long lift lines.

The Town of Telluride

The town of Telluride has a special charm to it; designed as a National Historic Distract with Victorian architecture, shops and the array of world class restaurants along the Main Street.  The town measures one mile from the east to the west, eight blocks wide and twelve blocks long.  Locals and visitors can use the complimentary shuttle service called that Galloping Goose that loops throughout town. The Galloping Goose runs on non-toxic, biodegradable, vegetable oil-based bio diesel fuel.  Many visitors to are excited to hear that there are no chain restaurants or shops in Telluride!

The Newer Resort community located at the main base of the mountain is called the Mountain Village, offering mostly ski /in ski/out, deluxe to luxury accommodations.  The free gondola connects Telluride to the Village with some of the best views you can find on a public transit and runs from 7am to midnight.  The Mountain Village area has its own atmosphere, restaurants, shops and direct access to the ski slopes and golf course.
